An easy and delicious recipe for Classic American-Style Goulash loaded with ground beef in a tasty tomato sauce.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 green pepper diced
- 1 yellow onion diced
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 2 can condensed tomato soup
- 1 can 28 ounce whole tomatoes, drained and chopped
- 1-2 cups tomato puree
- Salt and pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cook pasta per package instructions and set aside.
- Meanwhile heat olive oil in a large deep skillet or pot over medium heat.
- Add pepper and onions and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add ground beef and lightly season with salt and pepper.
- Cook peppers, onions and ground beef until ground beef is thoroughly cooked then stir in one can of tomato soup.
- Pour noodles to a large bowl and stir in remaining can of tomato soup and mix until noodles are covered.
- Mix noodles with ground beef mixture then add in chopped tomatoes.
- Stir in tomato puree 1 cup at a time until desired consistency.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Simmer on low heat until heated thru and serve warm.
